What Is a ClubGG Union? How Clubs, Unions and Agents Fit Together

USA Poker Clubs logoBy USA Poker Clubs Updated

A ClubGG union is a network of clubs that pool their players onto shared tables. You join an individual club with its Club ID, but if that club is part of a union, you sit down at games filled with players from every club in that network. That is why two clubs with very different member counts can show the same busy lobby.

This page explains what a union is, how clubs, unions and agents relate, why union size matters, and how to tell which union a club belongs to. At the end you'll find the ClubGG unions list we work with, with a club in each one. If you're new to the app, start with our complete ClubGG guide.

What is a poker union?

On ClubGG, anyone can create a club. A small club on its own might only have enough members to run one or two tables at peak hours. A union solves that by linking many clubs together so their players share the same tables.

Think of it like a league. Each club keeps its own identity, its own members and its own owner. The union is the umbrella that provides the shared game lobby, the table schedule and, in well-run unions, the security and accounting rules every club in it has to follow.

For players, the main difference is more action: a game at your stake and format at more hours of the day.

How clubs, unions and agents relate

US club poker has a simple three-level structure. Here is how it works, top to bottom:

  1. Union. The network. It runs the shared tables, sets rules for its member clubs, and settles up with each club owner, typically weekly.
  2. Club. Your home base. You join a club with its numeric Club ID (the ones we list are 6 digits). The club owner manages chips for their members, sets the rakeback they pay players, and handles settlement.
  3. Agent. A person working under a club who brings in players. Agents often hand out a referral ID (it looks like 7781-5006) that you enter when joining. Many clubs don't need one. Your agent is usually who you deal with for chips and cashouts.

Money flows the same way. ClubGG is a free-to-play social poker app from the makers of GGPoker, and the app itself does not sell real-money chips or pay out cash. Clubs and agents settle real money with players off the app, using methods such as Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, Apple Pay or crypto. Which methods are available varies by club. Our guide to ClubGG deposits and cashouts covers that process step by step.

The practical takeaway: your relationship is with your club and agent. The union shapes the games you can play and the rules everyone follows, but the people you send money to and receive money from are at the club level.

Why union size matters

A bigger, better-organized union generally makes for a better player experience. Here's why.

Table liquidity

Liquidity just means enough players to keep games running. More clubs feeding the same lobby means more tables at more stakes, shorter waits, and games running late at night and early in the morning. A small or private club may only run on certain days. For example, our one private club runs Mondays and Wednesdays only, while every union club we list runs 24/7.

Game variety

Larger unions can support more formats because there are enough players to fill niche tables. No Limit Hold'em and PLO run almost everywhere, but PLO5, PLO6, Hi-Lo, Sit & Gos and multi-table tournaments need a deeper player pool. See our page on ClubGG games and hand rankings if any of those are unfamiliar.

Security

A union sets the security rules for every table it runs. Strong unions use measures like GPS and IP restrictions to stop players at the same location from sitting together, plus monitoring for collusion and bots. A union with lax rules puts every club in it at risk. If fairness worries you, read is ClubGG rigged? for how this works in practice.

Settlement reliability

Unions settle with club owners on a regular schedule, and clubs settle with players. When a union keeps clean, itemized weekly accounting, clubs have what they need to pay players on time. A shaky union makes it harder for even an honest club to pay reliably.

One honest caveat: no union is regulated. There's no deposit insurance and no legal recourse if a club or agent doesn't pay. Union size and reputation reduce the risk; they don't remove it. Start small, test a cashout early, keep records of every transaction, and never share your login.

How to tell which union a club is in

ClubGG doesn't always make union membership obvious from the outside. A few ways to find out:

  • Ask the club or agent. Reputable clubs will tell you their union up front. If they're vague about it, treat that as a warning sign.
  • Check the lobby after joining. Once you're accepted, the shared union tables appear in the club's game list. Union branding often shows up in table names or club info.
  • Use a directory that lists it. Our ClubGG club directory lists the union next to every club, along with its Club ID, games, stakes and rakeback.

If a club claims a well-known union but the lobby is empty at peak hours, ask questions before sending money.

ClubGG unions we work with

These are the ClubGG unions where we have a partner club, as of October 2026. Each union links to its own page, and each club links to its full listing with Club ID and joining details.

MassivSaloonAll stakes25-70%

We also list one private club that isn't in a union: Sweet Holdem Alabama, which runs NL Hold'em and PLO at medium stakes on Mondays and Wednesdays (referral ID 7781-5006).

Massiv

Massiv is the union we know best. It uses GPS and IP restrictions, anti-cheating monitoring and a zero-tolerance policy for rule violations. Games include NL Hold'em, PLO, PLO5, PLO6, Hi-Lo, Sit & Gos and MTTs, with tables running 24/7. It offers deposit bonuses, rakeback incentives and tournament bonuses, plus 24/7 support.

For club owners, Massiv provides weekly itemized accounting and rakeback tiers of 70% base, 75% above 5k and 80% above 10k. Our club in Massiv is Saloon (Club ID 736985, no referral ID needed), which offers all games at all stakes.

TMT and Back Tees Only

For these two unions, we can only tell you what our own data shows:

  • TMT: Our club is Red Carpet (Club ID 175159, no referral ID needed). All games, micro to medium stakes, 24/7, 25-70% rakeback.
  • Back Tees Only: Our club is Frontier (Club ID 897998, no referral ID needed). All games, micro and low stakes, 24/7, 25-70% rakeback.

We don't publish security, size or promotion details for these unions because we haven't verified them. Ask the club directly, or contact us and we'll find out what you need to know.

Choosing a union

If you play low stakes, any of the three unions above will have games for you; see our best low-stakes ClubGG clubs for a ranked pick. If you want medium or higher stakes, the widest game list, or tournaments, Massiv is the strongest fit in our data. For a side-by-side ranking, read our guide to the best ClubGG unions in 2026, and check ClubGG rakeback explained to understand what those percentages actually mean for your bottom line.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a ClubGG union?

A ClubGG union is a network of clubs that share tables and player pools. Players from every club in the union sit at the same games, which means more tables running and more stakes to choose from than a single club could offer on its own.

Do I join a union or a club on ClubGG?

You join a club, using its Club ID. If that club belongs to a union, you automatically get access to the union's shared tables. See our guide on how to join a ClubGG club.

Which is the biggest ClubGG union?

We don't publish player counts because no union releases verified numbers. Of the unions we work with, Massiv has the widest game selection and runs tables 24/7, which is why we rank it first on our best ClubGG unions page.

Is a union safer than a private club?

Not automatically. A well-run union adds security tools and a larger, more established structure, but nothing on ClubGG is regulated and there is no legal recourse if a club or agent doesn't pay. Start small and test a cashout early, whichever you choose.

Can I play in more than one ClubGG union?

Yes. One ClubGG account can join several clubs, and those clubs can be in different unions. Your chips and settlements stay separate for each club, so keep track of who you settle with. Our club directory lists a club in each union we work with.
