ClubGG Referral IDs: What They Are and Which Clubs Need One
A ClubGG referral ID is an agent's code — it looks like 7781-5006 — that you enter when you request to join a club. It tells the club which agent brought you in, and that agent becomes your contact for chips, cashouts and rakeback. Many clubs don't need a ClubGG referral code at all, but some won't approve you without one.
Below we explain how referral IDs work, where to enter them, and which of our clubs need one. For everything else about the app, see our ClubGG complete guide.
What is a ClubGG referral ID?
ClubGG clubs are run by owners who often work with several agents. Each agent recruits players, sends them chips, collects losses, pays winnings and usually pays rakeback. All of that money changes hands off the app — ClubGG itself doesn't sell chips or pay out cash.
A referral ID is how the club keeps track of which player belongs to which agent. When you enter one, your account is tied to that agent inside the club's records.
Referral IDs are different from Club IDs:
| Club ID | Referral ID | |
|---|---|---|
| What it identifies | The club | An agent within the club |
| Format (our examples) | 6 digits, e.g. 477637 | Like 7781-5006 |
| Always required? | Yes | Only for some clubs |
Why some clubs require a referral ID
Clubs that require a referral ID usually want every player to be attached to an agent from day one. That helps them:
- Know who is responsible for each player's settlement. Someone has to collect and pay, and the referral makes it clear who.
- Screen new players. An approval tied to a known agent cuts down on anonymous accounts.
- Pay agents and rakeback correctly. Agent commissions and player rakeback are often calculated from the players linked to each agent.
Clubs that don't require one typically assign you to an agent after you join, or handle settlement through the club directly.
Where to enter the referral ID
You enter it at the same time as the Club ID:
- Open ClubGG and go to the area where you join a club.
- Enter the numeric Club ID.
- In the referral field, enter the referral ID exactly as given, including the format the club uses.
- Send the request and wait for approval.
The full walkthrough for phone and desktop, including fixes for "club not found," is in our guide on how to join a club on ClubGG. If you still need the app, start with the ClubGG download guide.
What happens if you skip it?
If the club doesn't need a referral ID, nothing — leave the field blank.
If the club does need one and you skip it, a few things can happen:
- Your request may sit on pending because the club doesn't know who you came through.
- You may be assigned to a different agent than you intended, with different rakeback terms.
- You may be asked to leave and re-apply with the correct code.
If you've already joined without one, contact the club owner or agent. Only the club can change your agent assignment.
It's worth getting this right at the start. Switching agents later is possible in some clubs, but it usually means a conversation with the owner, and any rakeback or balance already tracked under one agent may not move cleanly to another.
How referral IDs relate to agents and rakeback
Your agent is your banker in the club. Through them you'll:
- Buy chips using a method the club accepts (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, Apple Pay or crypto — varies by club).
- Request cashouts, usually on a weekly settlement cycle.
- Receive rakeback, the share of rake returned to you.
Because rakeback deals are often set at the agent level, the referral ID you use can affect what you get back. In our clubs, rakeback ranges from 25% to 70%, depending on the club and your volume. Ask your agent exactly how it's calculated before you play. Our ClubGG rakeback guide and deposit and cash-out guide cover the details.

Referral code scams to watch for
Because a referral ID decides who holds your money, it's a target for scammers. Protect yourself:
- Get codes from trusted sources. Use the club itself, an agent you know, or a vetted directory — not a random comment or DM.
- Never pay for a referral code. Legitimate codes are free. Anyone charging for one is a red flag.
- Ignore "guaranteed rakeback" promises that sound too good. Get terms in writing from the agent and compare with what the club confirms.
- Never share your login. No agent needs your ClubGG password to send chips.
- Start small and test a cashout. There's no regulator and no legal recourse if an agent doesn't pay, so prove the relationship before you build a balance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a ClubGG referral ID?
It's an agent's code, formatted like 7781-5006, that you enter when joining a club. It links your account to that agent, who handles your chips, cashouts and rakeback.
Do all ClubGG clubs need a referral code?
No. Many clubs only need the Club ID. Of our clubs, only Sweet Holdem Alabama uses a referral ID (7781-5006).
What happens if I join without a referral ID?
If the club requires one, your request may sit unapproved or you may be placed with an agent you didn't choose. Contact the club to sort it out rather than sending repeated requests.
Can I change my referral ID after joining?
Only the club can change which agent you're assigned to. Ask the club owner or your agent; ClubGG itself does not manage agent assignments.
Is it safe to use a referral code I found online?
Only use referral codes from a source you trust, such as the club itself or our club directory. The agent behind the code will be holding your money, so you want someone with a track record.
